Racist-Brain-300x2911The message of Peaceful Revolution is a hard one to swallow for back-woods hillbillies that are eager to set off shotgun blasts at the aliens when they pass overhead to check on our progress (that’s why they really won’t talk to us guys), nevertheless we here at ZENINTHECAR.COM still feel compelled to carry the message to those with ears to hear. Sometimes that means enduring the deafening stupidity of those that won’t and as our good friend D.L. Crumpton knows all too well; when all the chips are on the table we get to see who is really holding a pair versus a full house. While on the Ochelli Effect recently, we walk into the lion’s den with Daniel as he coaxes someone from a primitive mindset (call sign: Hammy) to reveal what they really feel about the fight for Freedom and Liberty for all. Buckle up.

With that being said, I think it’s time for a little Slim Shady to clean out the gutters.

nightclubIn the following Midnight Zen D.L. Crumpton gives a reading from his piece Flirting with Chaos which first appeared on ZENINTHECAR.COM about a year ago. Not one for wasting a good story, he resurrects his recollection of living chaotically for the audience of Jaded.

download (2)Cannabis use has been with us since the dawn of time and for good reason. With a plethora of medicinal and spiritual benefits, this wonder herb or as some call it, the God plant, only has the negative side effect of late night runs to Krystal’s (or White Castle for all you yanks). Shamans and seekers have benefited from its use to attain Enlightenment per the instructions of their spiritual texts and those suffering from a myriad of maladies have found its profound curative properties in its multitude of forms. Then the state comes along and puts a stick in all our proverbial craws. Thanks again state.

By changing the actual name of cannabis to the legal term marijuana, the state has pulled a sneaky snake and convinced the masses that it is unlawful to partake of a God given Right the Constitution protects above state laws regardless of their legislative whoredom. With miles and miles of legalese which create a spider web of words to get caught up in, cannabis activists have blindly walked into the trap of spinning their wheels against a game that doesn’t need to be played. With several organizations fighting for “legalization” throughout the states a spotlight on cannabis use being illegal as nonsensical has indeed been shown; but is the effort to “legalize” it even worth the time or effort?

Here at ZENINTHECAR.COM we are not interested in wasting time or effort. We find no progress in over-complicating matters or making them so confusing that the heart of the matter is lost on those to whom it matters most. When there are people in need of the healing properties that cannabis provides we have no desire to fornicate about with the issue. In the following public service announcement we have attempted to resolve the issue of cannabis use in a short video packed with key information rather than years and years at state capitols,  with greasy politicians and no results. Buckle up, light up, and learn ya sumthin!

I suppose you could call it literary A.D.D but the latest thing to come from the dome of our very own Daniel Louis Crumpton (D.L. for all his ghetto bruddahs) was that his next publication would be very much in Monty Python tradition…something completely different. All you Zenners who frequent our little site are familiar with his spiritual and political writings, and for those of you who arent the lazy type that wait for the movie; his novel Then Came the Flood was a gargantuan of completely different. So what pray-tell is the next trick he has decided to pull from one of the myriad of his hats? A rapid fire, three round burst of modern day poetry dripping angst, emotion and grit coming to us in just a matter of days.

hahalogoThe first collection; Hearts and Arrows, Halos and horns is scheduled to be released on March 20th underneath the super-duper mega moon eclipse thingy and we are all sure that has absolutely no connection with why he decided upon that date. Like a roller coaster of emotions, concepts and perspectives the collection shifts gears fast enough to give you intellectual whiplash as it takes you through over twenty years of never before published work.

The second (Wasting Despair) and third (Perspicacity) installment’s release dates have yet to be announced however The Ochelli Effect was kind enough to have D.L. Crumpton on recently to discuss his upcoming projects and though saying he was a little under the weather is quite an understatement (many of you out there have experienced the horror of the recent cold strain destroying a week or two of your lives) our little slugger still did a decent job.

After the interview the crew of the Zenterprise had to put him on medical leave until further notice and while he recovers we thought we would serve you up a slice from the interview. So grab a tasty beverage, kick back and enjoy Chuck Ochelli and Daniel Louis Crumpton rap about Hearts and Arrows, Halos and Horns, self-publishing, Edgar Alan Poe, the insanity of a writer’s life, content control and whatever else managed to come out of his medicine head. Enjoy!

zenopenHey all you Zenners; like anything that rapidly evolves, we have sprung up with a new little appendage; the ZENINTHECAR.COM STORE. This is something we have actually wanted to do for some time but have had it on the back burner simmering until we could see it bubbling up with goodness. Now the aroma of what was in the pot has wafted its way to our nostrils and we just couldn’t resist making it available to you. So open up and get you a taste by clicking any of the ZENINTHECAR.COM STORE links (like the one you just saw right back there) in this article, or at the top and sidebar of any page on our site.
Digital Hourglass has been busy making sure that what goes into the store is akin to the spirit of what we are all about here at ZENINTHECAR.COM as well as politically and spiritually relevant. Obviously since we are just opening up the store, we have only been able to make a handful of items available to you, but rest assured new products that will make you the hippest person in any room will be added on a regular basis. And if you happen to have any suggestions for items you would like to see in the future please feel free to share them with us with a quick email to ZENINTHECAR@GMAIL.COM and we would be more than happy to try and oblige.
So, we hope you enjoy the ZENINTHECAR.COM STORE and of course we hope you help the writers, contributors and activists here by snagging some stuff for yourself, a friend and your mother in law…not because you like her but because you just like screwing with her head. Cheers!

With the recent killing of James Boyd, the camper from New Mexico, an uproar has begun in this country. With the senseless murder of a man doing little more than setting up a place in which to sleep in the middle of the desert, the true nature of our law enforcement agencies has become clear. They are not here to protect and serve, rather they are here to enforce statutes and acts with the barrel of a gun. As more and more video is being uploaded of police brutality on a daily basis, we as Americans have to ask ourselves when enough is enough.
In the following episode of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V., Daniel Louis Crumpton paints a picture of the horror we as Liberty activists are facing when dealing with the police. In it he shares some disturbing footage of cruel acts performed by the police on average citizens and explains our right to defend ourselves against them when they step outside the confines of the Constitution. The following are some of the references for the “Stand your Ground” law he mentions near the conclusion:
“Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer’s life if necessary.” Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529. The Court stated: “Where the officer is killed in the course of the disorder which naturally accompanies an attempted arrest that is resisted, the law looks with very different eyes upon the transaction, when the officer had the right to make the arrest, from what it does if the officer had no right. What may be murder in the first case might be nothing more than manslaughter in the other, or the facts might show that no offense had been committed.”

“An arrest made with a defective warrant, or one issued without affidavit, or one that fails to allege a crime is within jurisdiction, and one who is being arrested, may resist arrest and break away. lf the arresting officer is killed by one who is so resisting, the killing will be no more than an involuntary manslaughter.” Housh v. People, 75 111. 491; reaffirmed and quoted in State v. Leach, 7 Conn. 452; State v. Gleason, 32 Kan. 245; Ballard v. State, 43 Ohio 349; State v Rousseau, 241 P. 2d 447; State v. Spaulding, 34 Minn. 3621.

“When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80; Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.

“These principles apply as well to an officer attempting to make an arrest, who abuses his authority and transcends the bounds thereof by the use of unnecessary force and violence, as they do to a private individual who unlawfully uses such force and violence.” Jones v. State, 26 Tex. App. I; Beaverts v. State, 4 Tex. App. 1 75; Skidmore v. State, 43 Tex. 93, 903.

“An illegal arrest is an assault and battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery.” (State v. Robinson, 145 ME. 77, 72 ATL. 260).

“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C. 476, 83 S.E. 2d 100).

“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).

“Story affirmed the right of self-defense by persons held illegally. In his own writings, he had admitted that ‘a situation could arise in which the checks-and-balances principle ceased to work and the various branches of government concurred in a gross usurpation.’ There would be no usual remedy by changing the law or passing an amendment to the Constitution, should the oppressed party be a minority. Story concluded, ‘If there be any remedy at all … it is a remedy never provided for by human institutions.’ That was the ‘ultimate right of all human beings in extreme cases to resist oppression, and to apply force against ruinous injustice.’” (From Mutiny on the Amistad by Howard Jones, Oxford University Press, 1987, an account of the reading of the decision in the case by Justice Joseph Story of the Supreme Court.

As for grounds for arrest: “The carrying of arms in a quiet, peaceable, and orderly manner, concealed on or about the person, is not a breach of the peace. Nor does such an act of itself, lead to a breach of the peace.” (Wharton’s Criminal and Civil Procedure, 12th Ed., Vol.2: Judy v. Lashley, 5 W. Va. 628, 41 S.E. 197).

It was once said of America, that we were a terrible dragon waking up. Let it be said now that what is waking up is a terrible Red, White and Blue dragon. Enjoy ZEN IN THE CAR T.V.

Like Father, Like Son

Greetings all you Zenners. Today is 3/5/14. For those of you into numerology, have a big ball of fun with that, for those of you more familiar with we here at ZENINTHECAR.COM it should come as no surprise that this is indeed a very special day. As you all know Patriotism, Freedom and Liberty are Holy precepts for us having come from bloodlines that have spilt so much of that sacred serum for the aforementioned causes in various ways. It is also no secret that one of the greatest inspirations for what we do here is our very own Daniel Louis Crumpton’s father, Myron “Sarge” Crumpton. A father, Grandfather, friend, Patriot, soldier and one of the loudest supporters for his precious first amendment you could ever imagine; ascended to the starry heights a few years ago. He left behind him a legacy we all try to live up to in restoring this country to the Republic he fought so hard to maintain.

Today is the celebration of his birthday, and for this cause we forced D.L.C to pull his eyes away from the multiple monitors and rip his fingers from the keyboard in order to go and observe such a day in reverence and Zen. “Go do your crazy spiritual stuff at his grave, man, we have this one” said we as he thought twice about walking out the door. We didn’t think too much damage could be done seeing as how all we had to do is deliver to you the introduction to the second episode of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V. As a birthday wish we did however inquire of him how we would like us to mold this introduction and his request was simple enough. “Honor his memory with the capstone of brotherhood.”

Myron and Gene Crumpton
(no photo of Jimmy available)

Given the context of the episode we understood fully and now intend to make you fully aware. Sarge Crumpton entered two foreign wars with two of his brothers; Jimmy and Gene. Sarge was the fighter, Jimmy provided the sustenance for fellow troops and Gene was the martyr. It truly was a band of brothers bound in blood but more important than that, they were a band of brothers bound in ideology. The concepts of our Founders and the Constitution they gave us flowed through them more so than the genetics which bound them in birth. Each had a role in the history of our country and played that role to the best of their ability. Now that all three of them are playing a game of cribbage or poker in the great pool hall in the sky; it seems our generation must carry on that mantle.

Now unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years it should come as no surprise to you that there is a Revolution taking place in this country. However unlike previous Revolutions, this one is going to be won peacefully and without a shot having to be fired. It will be won with ideals and an overwhelming feeling of brotherhood in the spirit of Freedom and Liberty. Those on the same vibrational frequency are seemingly finding one another to assemble themselves as cogs in a machine in order to carry out this function. As you all know, team Zen has been quite busy the past year running all over the state and assembling this required band of brothers in philosophy and ideology. What we have found is that the lone voice crying in the wilderness that we know as Ron Paul has most certainly multiplied. The one has become the many and we assure you those voices are getting louder.

chrisandhiramEach of us are understanding that we all have talents and gifts and those talents and gifts must carry us to the area we are needed in order for all to work as ONE. Some of us are made for politics, others for activism, and yet others to tell the story. Each member of this machine is important and needed. This isn’t about finding a leader; it’s about finding the leader within ourselves and performing that function to the best of our ability in the area we are called to.

That being said, recently Team Zen was fortunate enough to form a brotherhood with two titans among men, Christopher Hill and Hiram Lincoln Madge from the Constitutional Security Force. We here at ZENINTHECAR.COM have dubbed them Boanerges; the Sons of Thunder. Veterans of our armed forces as well as Patriots; these two men are both serving their roles to help us preserve the Republic in their individual calling. Hiram can always be seen flanking the crew of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V. at various functions utilizing his second amendment to preserve our first, and as of late Christopher can be seen running for office. The tenth congressional district of Georgia has been blessed by the deities to receive a candidate for the House of Representatives that best not be ignored.

The problem in our country is career politicians. Men and women that are only seeking power and prestige over Freedom and Liberty. The solution to this problem is We the People standing up to become statesmen; to serve in public office in order to steer legislation back to the Ten Amendments. Christopher Hill is truly the statesman Georgia is looking for. He’s not polished, he’s not talking with a silver tongue, but his heart is beating with your best interest in mind. And rest assured every step he takes forward is only going to make him more of the Warrior for Freedom and Liberty this state needs. So without further ado we submit to you the words of these two great Patriots on the steps of the capitol at a recent event with Team Zen in Atlanta. We hope you are inspired, that you learn something and of course we hope you will support Chris Hill in his run for office and throw all of your support behind him. Enjoy ZEN IN THE CAR T.V..

ZEN IN THE CAR T.V. had the opportunity to meet a young woman by the name of Sabrina Merganthaler Black in our travels of activism and couldn’t help but persuade her to be a regular contributor. We found her insights as a mother, a wife, and an activist to be quite enlightening as well as her optimistic spirit in regards to the state of our country and the state of our world. In a time when it seems more trendy to follow what Paris Hilton is wearing or what she isn’t its very refreshing to hear from strong female voices that are more attuned with what is actually going on in the world. In this second American Revolution there is no doubt that women need to have a voice in regards to the direction our country is being taken in and we are proud to welcome Sabrina Black as a voice for others who are still slugging about in ignorance. We hope you enjoy.

Warner Robins Mayor Chucky Shaheen and Po Po Chief Bret Evans have successfully slipped the resolution for the Lenco B.E.A.R.C.A.T. through with the help of a unanimous vote from city council. Though this vehicle is a actually a tank being passed off as a “rescue vehicle” to the people of Warner Robins, the chief of police is more than happy to allow the smoke and mirrors of semantics to misguide his employers (We the People) so that his boys might get their new Tonka truck. In the following episode of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V., Daniel Louis Crumpton and Jason Patrick discuss the atmosphere at city hall and the actual machinations of how city government works in the international city.

Last: City Councilman Justifies Bearcat

When you get contacted by a man whose call sign is “Blood Agent Doberman”; and he invites you down to a little shin dig he’s throwin’ in the back woods of Georgia with a whole bunch of other guys who aren’t too keen on the idea of our civil liberties being molested by the TSA, NSA, and DHS…it’s probably a good idea if you just take him up on the offer. Don’t ask questions, don’t toss a Urim or a Thummim, and don’t make him ask twice. Just ask him when the rendezvous is and await your coordinates.
Of course, getting an invite from a militia operating under the name “Constitutional Security Force” isn’t a nerve racking ordeal for the guys here at ZENINTHECAR.COM at all, as you already well know. The Constitution is the finest example of how a Republic should operate to ensure that its citizens live in Free and Sovereign States and it’s becoming apparently clear that the last group of folks that intend to secure it are the congress critters that lurk in the hallways of Capitol Hill in the District of Columbia. That being said, any group offering said document Security by abiding by the principles contained within it requiring it be defended from enemies both foreign and probably leaning more towards domestic, is sure to get the crew of the Bridge to beam down to forest-type places most remote to listen to things go bang and hear war stories over the proverbial Alpha Male campfire. So when the opportunity for Sirmans, Patrick and Crumpton to go interview a group of armed and disgruntled men over a few friendly beers arose; and the three of them all responded with “Sounds like a fantastic idea to me!”-I nodded my head and told them I couldn’t wait to see the footage they brought back so I could write the intro for it. And damned if they didn’t actually come back with some pretty good stuff.
So without further ado, or a do, or adieu or whatever; I present to you the crew of the Zenterprise (yeah I stole that shtick from the old Zima commercials from the 90’s, so what, they stopped using it when they realized no one was drinking that sludge anyway so it’s public domain now…don’t judge.) having a Patriotic pow-wow with Team Doberman. Just press play, then press like, then press share. It feels good and it makes you look much slimmer than you actually are.
