THE OMELET INCIDENT: THE JOY OF COOKING WITH INTERNET WHORES

chickwithomeletAt this point just about everyone has had their inbox pinged or a friend request from the conveniently idiotic internet whore whose I.Q. is half of the three measurements they are peddling for your fundage. At this point most of us have developed the safe habit of ignoring these little cyber temptresses outright and that even includes a large portion of college age guys who still have all their pokemon nick-knacks displayed who typically fell for this type of thing. Obviously I get a lot of these digital pop-tarts propositioning me for cyber prostitution; but hey I always look for teachable moments in any situation. Recently while promoting my new book HEARTS AND ARROWS, HALOS AND HORNS on JADED with Kim and Chuck OChelli, a conversation I had copied and pasted to my Facebook wall with a webcam succubus came up on their show and it made for some rather funny radio. So if you happened to miss the two hour interview and hence this little bit of hilarity I thought it would be kosher to share with you all. The best medicine is laughter…unless you have V.D., that crap’s not funny. Enjoy!

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT: HEARTS AND ARROWS, HALOS AND HORNS

I suppose you could call it literary A.D.D but the latest thing to come from the dome of our very own Daniel Louis Crumpton (D.L. for all his ghetto bruddahs) was that his next publication would be very much in Monty Python tradition…something completely different. All you Zenners who frequent our little site are familiar with his spiritual and political writings, and for those of you who arent the lazy type that wait for the movie; his novel Then Came the Flood was a gargantuan of completely different. So what pray-tell is the next trick he has decided to pull from one of the myriad of his hats? A rapid fire, three round burst of modern day poetry dripping angst, emotion and grit coming to us in just a matter of days.

hahalogoThe first collection; Hearts and Arrows, Halos and horns is scheduled to be released on March 20th underneath the super-duper mega moon eclipse thingy and we are all sure that has absolutely no connection with why he decided upon that date. Like a roller coaster of emotions, concepts and perspectives the collection shifts gears fast enough to give you intellectual whiplash as it takes you through over twenty years of never before published work.

The second (Wasting Despair) and third (Perspicacity) installment’s release dates have yet to be announced however The Ochelli Effect was kind enough to have D.L. Crumpton on recently to discuss his upcoming projects and though saying he was a little under the weather is quite an understatement (many of you out there have experienced the horror of the recent cold strain destroying a week or two of your lives) our little slugger still did a decent job.

After the interview the crew of the Zenterprise had to put him on medical leave until further notice and while he recovers we thought we would serve you up a slice from the interview. So grab a tasty beverage, kick back and enjoy Chuck Ochelli and Daniel Louis Crumpton rap about Hearts and Arrows, Halos and Horns, self-publishing, Edgar Alan Poe, the insanity of a writer’s life, content control and whatever else managed to come out of his medicine head. Enjoy!

A ZENNER IN NEED, SO ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVE

Denise Ann Marie

Denise Ann Marie

No one is an island and anyone who knows that, knows that the best part of life is coming across others who are taking this journey in a similar fashion. I love it when people come into my life that see things in a similar light and make their journey through life in like manner. It just makes this whole thing a whole lot better knowing that there are good people out there trying to make a difference like you and I. When you find those people do all that you can with whatever you have to make their journey as easy as possible because in your time of need they will do the same.
I met Denise Ann Marie at a book store one day, ironically enough in the new age section; go figure. I remember she had this unusually large crystal hanging about her neck and that is what prompted me to strike up a conversation. Finding other spiritually enlightened people is always a treat and when I do I make every effort to keep in contact with them. Together, the spiritually minded are working together as a team to bring about healing and awareness for those still struggling in the darkness.
Denise and I became fast friends and it was apparent to me that she had reached a place in her life where the material world meant very little or nothing and all, and she had embraced her calling as a healer; using all of her gifts and gravitating towards so many in need. This is never an easy path and when one chooses to walk it they do so at much personal sacrifice and sometimes with little thanks or reward on this side of the veil. Denise is one of these.
She however has been a dear friend to me and has come to my aid and comfort in times when there simply was no one else to lift me up and I have seen her do this for countless others. So you understand that it has cast a shadow over my heart to hear that she has been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and is in urgent need of funds in order to see this through. Which is why I am now writing this to all you Zenners out there. If you have been a reader of this website for the past few years you know that we are all about Freedom and Liberty in the realms of politics and spirituality. Some of you come here for the politics, some of you for the spirituality and you really Enlightened folks come here for both. Whichever one you are, there is no doubt that you have a disdain for seeing people in bondage and I believe you would do what you could to make sure that no one is if it be in your power.
Well, right now Denise Ann Marie is in a state of bondage and you can help. It doesn’t matter if you have ever met her or ever will, what matters is that an opportunity has presented itself before you to make a difference in not only one person’s life but the lives of all she has touched. Please take the time now to give a generous donation to her medical funds by clicking HERE and most importantly send her an uplifting message on facebook by clicking HERE and let her know you are praying for her recovery and please share this on your wall and spread it to as many people as you can.
Please do not put off taking action as we tend to do so often. It will only take you a few seconds to make a real difference, and if anything I have ever said or written over the years has touched you, helped you, enlightened you or uplifted you in anyway then this is your chance to pay that forward. Thank you guys for all your help and compassion. Namaste.

DANIEL LOUIS CRUMPTON

Life is not without a sense of irony it would seem. In this latest episode of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V., Daniel Louis Crumpton joins Eric Bell on “For whom the Bell Tolls” to discuss the recent rally in Habersham county and his current view of the political landscape as well as his novel Then Came the Flood. The irony of it all is that while we were preparing this episode which deals with excessive force by the police as well as incorporated prison facilities, Daniel and his beloved dog Hannibal were in the process of being arrested for yet another victimless violation of a city ordinance which placed him in silver bracelets followed by a trip to the Houston County Detention Center…again. Hopefully by the time you finish this episode he will be out again and walking proudly in the land of the free…the free to do as you are told.

POLITICS, POLICE STATE AND THEN CAME THE FLOOD

HERESY IS GOOD FOR BREAKFAST

breakfast-survey-ftrReligion is what happens when you let someone with a book tell you their interpretation of that book and the deity the book claims to be written by. It is what happens when you neglect to interpret the book and the deity yourself in order to gain first-hand knowledge of both. Typically those interpreting the book for you are motivated by either filling the church coffers or convincing you that someone else with another book, that describes another deity, is of the devil and you ought to support carpet bombing them in the name of God. Organized religion has been a thorn in the side of humanity since humanity was cursed with it and until its abolishment, it will continue to be so. Allowing a mediator between you and the Divine is always a bad practice and should be shunned for spirituality; which is a personal knowing of the Divine on one’s own. Thankfully, it does appear that more and more people are throwing off the filthy rags of organized religion and adopting a more intimate relationship with their own spirituality over the past few years. Jesse Herriott is one of those people and I cannot tell you how excited I was to meet this man and hear him speak at Unity of Central Georgia not too long ago. His message and the clarity in which he delivers it was one that I was eager to share with our subscribers.

Obviously we have to bring you some stories which are negative when politicians, law enforcement or media outlets need a spotlight pointed in their direction; but this time I was happy to have an episode brought to you that was simply an overall uplifting message. I hope you enjoy.

LAST EPISODE: BEHOLD A GREAT RED, WHITE AND BLUE DRAGON

I have mentioned before that several of us here at ZENINTHECAR.COM have recently gone through major “life changes”; however that is not to say that such “life changes” have been limited to we alone. No; in fact many of you out there are also experiencing such things and for those of you who have a spiritual proclivity this is due in part to a process that is happening world-wide to a certain percentage of people. It is a spiritual awakening happening to those who are in tune with it that is causing all the seemingly tumultuous events in our lives.
In this episode of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V., Sabrina Black addresses this awakening and how we should respond to it in order to pass through the process with as few bumps and bruises as possible. Enjoy.

LAST EPISODE: DERRICK GRAYSON: DRIVE TIME ZEN

With the recent killing of James Boyd, the camper from New Mexico, an uproar has begun in this country. With the senseless murder of a man doing little more than setting up a place in which to sleep in the middle of the desert, the true nature of our law enforcement agencies has become clear. They are not here to protect and serve, rather they are here to enforce statutes and acts with the barrel of a gun. As more and more video is being uploaded of police brutality on a daily basis, we as Americans have to ask ourselves when enough is enough.
In the following episode of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V., Daniel Louis Crumpton paints a picture of the horror we as Liberty activists are facing when dealing with the police. In it he shares some disturbing footage of cruel acts performed by the police on average citizens and explains our right to defend ourselves against them when they step outside the confines of the Constitution. The following are some of the references for the “Stand your Ground” law he mentions near the conclusion:
“Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer’s life if necessary.” Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529. The Court stated: “Where the officer is killed in the course of the disorder which naturally accompanies an attempted arrest that is resisted, the law looks with very different eyes upon the transaction, when the officer had the right to make the arrest, from what it does if the officer had no right. What may be murder in the first case might be nothing more than manslaughter in the other, or the facts might show that no offense had been committed.”

“An arrest made with a defective warrant, or one issued without affidavit, or one that fails to allege a crime is within jurisdiction, and one who is being arrested, may resist arrest and break away. lf the arresting officer is killed by one who is so resisting, the killing will be no more than an involuntary manslaughter.” Housh v. People, 75 111. 491; reaffirmed and quoted in State v. Leach, 7 Conn. 452; State v. Gleason, 32 Kan. 245; Ballard v. State, 43 Ohio 349; State v Rousseau, 241 P. 2d 447; State v. Spaulding, 34 Minn. 3621.

“When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80; Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.

“These principles apply as well to an officer attempting to make an arrest, who abuses his authority and transcends the bounds thereof by the use of unnecessary force and violence, as they do to a private individual who unlawfully uses such force and violence.” Jones v. State, 26 Tex. App. I; Beaverts v. State, 4 Tex. App. 1 75; Skidmore v. State, 43 Tex. 93, 903.

“An illegal arrest is an assault and battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery.” (State v. Robinson, 145 ME. 77, 72 ATL. 260).

“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C. 476, 83 S.E. 2d 100).

“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).

“Story affirmed the right of self-defense by persons held illegally. In his own writings, he had admitted that ‘a situation could arise in which the checks-and-balances principle ceased to work and the various branches of government concurred in a gross usurpation.’ There would be no usual remedy by changing the law or passing an amendment to the Constitution, should the oppressed party be a minority. Story concluded, ‘If there be any remedy at all … it is a remedy never provided for by human institutions.’ That was the ‘ultimate right of all human beings in extreme cases to resist oppression, and to apply force against ruinous injustice.’” (From Mutiny on the Amistad by Howard Jones, Oxford University Press, 1987, an account of the reading of the decision in the case by Justice Joseph Story of the Supreme Court.

As for grounds for arrest: “The carrying of arms in a quiet, peaceable, and orderly manner, concealed on or about the person, is not a breach of the peace. Nor does such an act of itself, lead to a breach of the peace.” (Wharton’s Criminal and Civil Procedure, 12th Ed., Vol.2: Judy v. Lashley, 5 W. Va. 628, 41 S.E. 197).

It was once said of America, that we were a terrible dragon waking up. Let it be said now that what is waking up is a terrible Red, White and Blue dragon. Enjoy ZEN IN THE CAR T.V.

MIDNIGHT ZEN

Hey all you Zenners. How’s it going? Going good? That’s good. Going good for me too, glad you asked. So anyways we just wanted to drop you this little line and let you know that we have a new kinda-sortof thingy here at ZENINTHECAR.COM. A lot of our fans and creepy followers have inquired what its like to be what we are and do what we do. They want to see the curtain of the wizard pulled back. They want to know what it is like to be in Team Zen when Team Zen isn’t on film or giving a speech.
As most of you know, Team Zen is a very close knit family. We are unique and diverse individuals that have somehow managed to come together under a common flag without ripping each other’s throats out. The common flag we all fly is that of Freedom and Liberty, and that flag affords us unity. However, from time to time we think it is appropriate to sit on the bridge of the Zenterprise and simply philosophize. These are the moments where the magic really happens. So we thought you guys might like to sneak in on those moments where the crew of ZEN IN THE CAR T.V. have their shields down and are doing what they do best. Enjoy some Midnight Zen. Midnight Zen is simply a freeze frame of how we operate at the middle of the night, or as you would…a step across the looking glass.

MIDNIGHT ZEN EPISODE ONE

DERRICK GRAYSON: DRIVE TIME ZEN

D.L. Crumpton and Derrick Grayson

LAST EPISODE: CHRIS HILL AND HIRAM L. MADGE, SONS OF THUNDER

I can remember during the last couple of presidential election cycles feeling very much like an island at times in my support of Ron Paul. Now keep in mind, no one that supported Ron Paul really supported the man, rather what the man stood for; Freedom, Liberty and the Constitution. In a world where people focus on the technicalities of what a document says rather than the soul of what is written, it was rare to find others that had such concepts burning in their bones. It was rare to find someone who didn’t approach the Constitution like a legal document rather like a Holy document. While others were supporting politicians, we were supporting a statesman. We were supporting a man who was open, honest, and not offering to butter our bread more than he was offering us the opportunity to butter our own damn bread.

Derrick Grayson with Jason Patrick

During that time there were few media voices willing to shout from the rooftops and echo this message of Freedom and Liberty, so we as supporters had to become the media. Derrick Grayson (TMOT) was one of the loudest and clearest advocates for the concepts we all embrace here at ZENINTHECAR.COM. I can’t tell you how many days I raced home to catch his “Drive Time” rants on YouTube and sat on the edge of my seat with the feeling that finally I was not alone. Finally there was someone else that understood this type of thing without having to walk them around the pond. He doesn’t mince words, he doesn’t dodge questions, and he doesn’t water down the words of our Founding Fathers. When we released the project statement I AM THE COG, a comprehensive plan to take back our Republic, Derrick Grayson was one of the first to throw his support behind it, and since that time we knew he was as Stan Lee would say, a True Believer. So it tickled us to no avail to find out that he was running for the House of Representatives for our fine state. Team Zen scrambled to find out how we could contribute to his voice getting louder and his campaign becoming a success. And after all that scrambling we decided just to do what we do best. Cover him as we would any other politician and let his own words either uplift or condemn him.

We find it ironic that Derrick Grayson is known for “Drive Time” where most of his ideas probably come to him while stuck in a car, and we here attained Enlightenment in ours while stuck in traffic. It appears a hybrid baby of ZEN and DRIVE TIME was inevitable with all that hindsight being 20\20 and all. So we hope you enjoy a little Drive Time Zen.
