Wouldn’t it be nice if the fictional city of War-Town didn’t become a nanny/police state where the Posse Comitatus Act is bypassed, which prevents the military from policing the people, by sneakily militarizing the police? We think it would be a much safer fictional community to raise your kids in if, ya know, George Orwell and Aldous Huxley weren’t proven to be prophets; their words of warnings taken as blueprints for what is probably unfolding before us. In this episode, a very civilized discussion of War-Town Peace Officers being oh so groovy & Militarized Law Enforcement being not so much, is evoked from the “Friendly Neighborhood Manifesto” all the local gubment officials are all the rage about these days! After all, if most statutes, acts, codes & ordinances are actually operating under color of law, who is tasked most with using discretion NOT to enforce them?
